A proposed update to the country’s catalogue of technologies prohibited or restricted for export, published on Friday, covers areas including cell and gene therapy platforms, siRNA and so-called gain-of-function research on pathogens, Fierce Biotech reports.
The aim is to keep ownership of strategically important biomedical technologies within China, while requiring regulatory approval for the transfer of certain technologies used to identify and validate drug targets.
